Eric Raffin teamed the Jo Corbanie trainee for owner JPB Building BVBA.   The winner was clocked in 1.11.5kr as Fabulous Dream won for fourth time in a career that has produced life earnings of 162,560€. 113/1 Zerozerosette (5m Wishing Stone) was second with Matthieu Abrivard up for trainer Vitale Ciotola. Nicolas Bazire teamed 8/1 Fidele Royal (5m Vaux le Vicomte) to a third place finish. 2.2/1 Fifty Black (5m Ni Ho Ped d’Ombree) was fourth ahead of 3/2 favorite Firello (5m Goetmals Wood).   There were three Q+ winning tickets that each paid 50,398.20€. There was over 6,982.000€ wagered on this race with 3,059,053€ in the Quinte+ pool.   On the same card was the monte Prix d’Avenches (purse 70,000€, 2175 meters, 11 starters) for four year olds and in this one the 6.5/1 Galactic (4g Oh James-Amilka) scored with Matthieu Abrivard in the irons for trainer Jacques Bruneau. Galactic won for the third time in his career and now sports life earnings of 131,330€. 2.9/1 Gabiano (4g Brutus de Baily) was next for Mathieu Mottier and 9/1 Gloria Berry (4f Quaker Jet-Tequila Berry) captured the third check for jockey J.Y. Ricart and trainer J.M. Bazire.   The previous day the 9/1 odds Prosperous (6g Prodigious-Gloriy) scored in the Q+ Prix de Bracieux at Vincennes (purse 43,000€, 2850 meters, 16 starters).   Dominik Locqueneux teamed this Henk Grift trainee for Draviet Stables of Holland. Race time was 1.13.6kr and the winner increased his life earnings to 157,607€. 7.5/1 Equinoxe (6m Texas Charm) was second with Matthieu Abrivard aboard, ahead of 13/1 third finishing Minnestads El Paso (7m Adrian Chip) with owner Mme. Rebecca Dahlen at the lines. 11/1 Echo de Chanlecy and 4.1/1 Vincero’Gar completed the top five, the latter a son of SJs Photo that was reined by “Pippo” Gubellini. This Sunday’s Paris-Vincennes harness racing program presented three groupe level contests for youthful trotters. The Gr. II Prix Roquepine (purse 100,000€, 2175 meters, three year olds) saw 5/10 favporite Havana d’Aurcy (3f Royal Dream-Avila) record a 1.13.2kr clocked victory with trainer Jean Michel Bazire aboard for trainer Cyril Lelarge. It was her fifth career victory now for 176,700€ earned. 10/1 Havanaise (3f Ricimer) was a game and close second for pilot F.P. Bossuet and Hora Beji (3f Ni Ho Ped d’Ombree) earned the third check for Alexandre Abrivard. Havana d’Aurcy w J-M Bazire The Gr. II Prix Paul Viel (purse 100,000€, 2175 meters, three year olds) went to 10/1 Heartbreaker One (3m Alto de Viette-Reine Normande) with Bjorn Goop at the lines for trainer Luc Roelens. Timed in 1.14.9kr the winner recorded his third career victory now for 98,350€ in life earnings. The 4/10 favorite Helgafell (3m Charly du Noyer) was second with Eric Raffin driving for trainer Philippe Allaire. Third went to Hooker Berry (3m Booster Winner) with Jean Michel Bazire aboard. Heartbreaker One, Bjorn Goop The Gr. III Prix d’Avignon (purse 70,000€, 2150 meters autostart, four year olds) saw 6.7/1 Gelati Cut (4m Coktail Jet- Variety Cut) score very impressively with Alexandre Abrivard up for trainer R.C. Larue and Ecurie Windcut, his fourth career victory that raised his earnings to 141,920€. Race time was 1.12.4kr. Gelati Cut is one to watch, a great gaited performer. The 1.6/1 favorite Go On Boy (4m Password) was second for Romain Derieux and 2.7/1 Garibaldi (4m Love You) took third for J.Ph. Monclin. For the third time in a row, Bilibili and harness racing jockey Alexandre Abrivard won the Prix de l’Ile de France, a Group I under saddle race, at Vincennes Sunday afternoon (Feb. 2) and was timed in a new world record 1.52.3 (mile rate). A 9-year old French trotter, Bilibili is under saddle specialist. In fact, all his lifetime earnings of more than $2 million were won in under saddle races. Bilibili was the 1-5 favorite to win this 1/5-16 mile event which has a standing start. A victory also added 100,000 Euro to as a bonus for Bilibili winning the three biggest under saddle races during the winter meeting. Although he won, Bilibili had to fight for the victory, as outsider Etonnant, with Eric Raffin in the saddle, was hard to get by. Etonnant was in command from start and with half-mile to go, it seemed that Bilibili would have a very tough task to catch him. But going down the stretch Etonnant started to fade and Bilibili was now flying. Bilibili trotted the last fraction in :27.3 and and won by a length. Bilibili is sired by Niky and his grandson is Viking’s Way, the grandsire of Ready Cash. January 19, 2020 - Saturday’s Cornulier harness racing program at Vincennes included several other groupe level races and some other interesting events. The Prix Roxane Griff (monte, purse 50,000€, 2175 meters, nine starters) began the “interesting” action with a quick 1.11kr clocked victory by 9/10 favorite Egao Jenilou (6g Village Mystic-Queen Jenilou) with Eric Raffin aboard for trainer Louis Baudron. He won for the ninth time in 26 career starts now for 272,460€ earned. 7/2 Dede de Montauren and 9/1 Daniel Bon trailed the winner to the line. The first groupe test was the Prix Bellino II (Gr. III, purse 80,000€, 2100 meters, 11 starters) and 5.5/1 Gimy du Pommereux (4m Coktail Jet-Noune du Pommereux) scored for Matthieu Abrivard, trainer Sylvain Roger and owner Noel Lolic. The victory was his fourth in 12 career starts now for 132,810 in life earnings. 18/1 Gia Olmenhof (4f Ready Cash) rallied for second for Christophe Martens and 2/1 Girolamo (4m Uriel Speed) took third for Franck Ouvrie. The winner recorded his fourth career victory in 11 starts now for 126,780€ earned. The winner joined the hunt with slightly over 500 meters remaining and was a decisive factor in the lane. 17/1 Gelati Cut (4m Coktail Jet) was second for Alexandre Abrivard, ahead of 27/1 Galaxie du Goutier (4f Kaisy Dream) with Clement Duvaldestin aboard. The Prix Association Nationale des Turfistes (purse 67,000€, 2100 meters autostart) saw the turf writers on hand to make the winners presentation to 5.9/1 odds Belle Louise Mabon (9f Derby du Giute), the 1.11.9kr timed victorious trainee of breeder/owner/trainer Yves Dreaux. Eri Raffin was the pilot as Belle Louise won for the eighth time in 58 starts now for 358,980€ in life earnings. “Louise” was there to help receive the winners’ congratulations. Daida de Vandel With the day complete some analysts foresee an Amerique lineup that might look something like shown below. Here the bold print horses are those already qualified. Those with a question mark are just that, unknowns at this moment. Several of the outsiders are lifetime winners of over a million euro. II Prix Emile Riotteau (monte, purse 100,000€, 2700 meters International) went to 1.13.3kr timed and 7/10 odds Fado du Chene (5m Singalo-Star du Chene) ridden by jockey P.Ph. Ploquin for harness racing trainer Julien Le Mer and owner Claude Guedj. This was Fado’s 12th career victory now for 735,700€ earned. 3.4/1 Feeling Cash (5m Ready Cash-Royale Star) was second for Eric Raffin and third went to 3/1 Flicka de Blary (5f Sam Bourbon) with Camille Levesque aboard. This race began an interesting program at Paris-Vincennes today and tomorrow. The day’s Quinte+ race was the Prix de Breteuil (purse 51,000€, 2100 meters autostart) and the 1.11.7kr clocked winner was 3/2 favorite Caliu des Boss (8g Pomerol de Laumac-Quest For You) with owner/trainer/driver Gabriel Angel Pou Pou aboard. This was his third win in his last five appearances and tenth in the career now for 249,990€ earned. 4.2/1 Callas du Bouffey (8f Look de Star) was second for Matthieu Abrivard up and 7.3/1 Biniou de Connee (9g Ni Ho Ped d’Ombree) was third for Eric Raffin. The next two finishers were off at 22/1 and 20/.1 and there were 1,210 winning exact order tickets that each paid 878.40€. Third went to 83/1 Habile Gede (2f Jeanbat du Vivier) was third for Damien Bonne.   Monte specialists battled in the Prix Sans Dire Qui (Gr. III, purse 80,000€, 2850 meters) with 3.9/1 Daida de Vandel (6f Real de Lou-Gallia de Vandel) prevailing for jockey Alexandre Abrivard and trainer Laurent Claude Abrivard. November 23, 2019 - The Jacques de Vaulogé Prize brought together the best harness racing three year old males on the Gravelle plateau.  Eleven colts started in this Group II, played on the 2,700 meters of the big track.  Philippe Allaire's armada hit hard again, placing his residents in the top three places with Gallant Way in the lead. Gallant Way (3m Ready Cash-Queen Flore) took the Vincennes co-feature (Gr. II, purse 100,000€, 2700 meters, 11 starters) timed in 1.14.6kr. David Thomain teamed the 9/1 winner for trainer Philip Allaire and breeder/owner Jacques Pauc to his sixth career win in 14 starts, now for 166,700€ earned. 2.6/1 Golden Bridge (3m Ready Cash-Usenza) was second for trainer Allaire, pilot Yoann Lebourgeois and breeder/owner Michel Tessier. Alexandre Abrivard teamed the J-M Bazire trainee that now sports career earnings of 224,790€ for owner Mme Ottavia Roffi-Urano. 12/1 Django Bocage (6g Real de Lou) was second for Yoann Lebourgeois and 5.7/1 Dreambreaker (6g Offshore Dream) took third for Gabriele Gelormini and trainer Bazire. 16/1 Diablo du Noyer and 8.6/1 Diego Sautonne completed the top five. Today’s 12th harness racing leg of the Grand National du Trot Paris Turf (Gr. III, purse 85,000€, 3000 meters distance handicap, 14 starters) at Nantes and it went to the 4/10 favorite and 50-meter handicapped Cleangame (7g Ouragon de Celland-Red Bell) for trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire and owner J-M Rancoule.   Cleangame won for the 30 th time in 47 career starts now for 1,130,220€ earned for his career and may well be among the top five trotteurs currently racing. 7.3/1 Cocktail Desbois (7g Coktail Jet) was second for Eric Raffin and 7.3/1 Dorgos du Guez (6g Romcock de Guez) was third for Nicolas Bazire and trainer JMB, this one handicapped 25 meters. 21/1 Clarck Sotho (7g Oiseau de Feux) was fourth after his 25- meter penalty, reined by Guillaume Martin. 56/1 Brelan du Vivier completed the top five with Matthieu Abrivard aboard.   This race was the day’s Quinte+ event and 1242 winning tickets were each worth 622.00€. 8,168,000€ was wagered on the race with 3,828,477€ of that being in the Q+ pool.   The November 5 (Tuesday) Paris-Vincennes feature was the Prix Medusa (purse 52,000€, 3525 meters distance handicap, 12 starters) and it brought about the second start off a long layoff by the 25-meter handicapped Belina Josselyn (8f Love You-Lezira Josselyn). This one recorded her 14 th career win in 52 starts now for 290,140€ earned. 7.2/1 Big Boss (8g Qualmio de Vandel) and 8.5/1 Atoll Danover (9g Land Danover) completed the top three.   Contree d’Erable   The November 4 (Monday) Vincennes card was a good one and began with the Prix de Lesparre (purse 59,000€, 2700 meters, 13 starters) that saw 6.4/1 Fashion Queen (4f Ready Cash-Usenza) reach the line first with Eric Raffin up for trainer Philippe Allaire and owned J-M Tessier. Race time was 1.14kr as the Queen bested 9/10 favorite Fairplay d’Urzy (6m Ready Cash-Romane d’Urzy) reined by trainer Jean Michel Bazire. 3.7/1 Éclair du Mirel (5m Orlando Vici) took third money with Matthieu Abrivard up. 28/1 Eride Luduis and 8.7/1 Electra Jet completed the top five. This was the Quinte+ race of that day and the exact order top five payoff was 529.40€ paid to 521 ticketholders. The 5/10 favorite and superb harness racing mare Fleche Bourbon (4f Saxo de Vandel-Uzara Josselyn) took today’s Gr. I monte Prix des Elites today at Vincennes.   Raced by 11 three to five year olds for a purse of 200,000 and over 2150 meters distance handicap (plus 50 meters for the four and five year olds) the course was not a problem for the Sebastien Guarato trainee that had Alexandre Abrivard in the irons for owner Ecurie du Haras de Saint Martin.   Clocked in 1.11.7kr this was her 11 th career victory in 16 outings for 459,050€ earned as she overcame the 50 meter penalty. 4.1/1 Feeling Cash (4m Ready Cash-Royale Star) was a fast closing second with Eric Raffin up for trainer Philippe Allaire and owner Carlos Lerner.     Ecurie des Charmes bred this one as well as the third place finisher Exotica de Retz (5f Prodigious-Quayaya), a mare they own, Sebastien Ernault trains and Delphine Beaufils-Ernault rode, at 17/1 odds. 23/1 Ganster du Wallon (3m Lets Go Along) was fourth benefitting from a 50 meter advantage and 82/1 Excessive Well (5f Gobernador) finished fourth.   Thomas H. III Prix Paul Delanoe (monte, 2850 meters, 90,000€ purse, European starters) went to 1.13.2kr timed and 9/10 favorite Clegs des Champs (7g Kegs du Cloc-Prosepine) with David Thomain in the irons. Thierry Raffegeau trains the J.Y. Roze owned gelding that won for the 16th time in 30 career starts. His life earnings are now 680,580€. 15/1 Vertige de Chenu (10g Lynx de Bellouet) was second with Eric Raffin up for trainer J.M. Baudouin. 37/1 Al Capone Jet (9g Jag de Bellouet) took third for Yoann Lebourgeois, 7.6/1 Daida de Vandell and 61/1 Baron du Goutier completed the top five. On the undercard was the Quinte+ Prix Eva (purse 45,000€, 2100 meters autostart, 16 starters) that went to 32/1 Vipera Killer G (5f Varenne-Uakland) in rein to Eric Raffin. Vincent Lacroix trains the winner for Scuderia Fioredigio. I Prix Rene Balliere at Vincennes (purse 170,000€, 2100 meters autostart, International, Quinte+ race) had harness racing champions Bold Eagle, Dijon and Looking Superb in the lineup. Dijon was an early dq and that opened the door for a start to finish victory for Bold Eagle (8m Ready Cash-Reethiu Rah Jet). June 8, 2019 - The Gr. II International Prix Chambon P at Vincennes (purse 100,000€, 2850 meters, nine starters) produced a big harness racing upset as 15/1 Tony Gio (7m Varenne-Ilaria Jet) rallied late in the lane to score for Eric Raffin timed in 1.11.7kr. Sebastien Guarato trains this one for Scuderia Bivans Srl. Tony Gio won for only the sixth time in 47 career starts and today raised his life earnings to 804,365€. The 3/10 favorite Aubrion du Gers (9g Memphis du Rib), second in the Elitloppet Final, was second under heavy urging of trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire after racing third until around the final bend. He moved slowly to the lead in mid-stretch but could not hold off Tony Gio. Tony Gio Anzi des Liards (9g Look de Star) off at 39/1, rallied quickly toward the line to be a close third with Romain Derieux aboard. Django Riff and Cash Gamble were next to the finish. Thomas H. III, purse 70,000€, 2700 meters, 11 starters) began the groupe action and it went to 9/1 Foxtrot Sea (4m Olitro-Vezia) reined by owner/trainer Cedrik Megissier and timed in 1.14kr.   Frisbee d’Am (44fm The Best Madrik) was second with Alexandre Abrivard up for trainer Richard Westerink, the trainer of legendary Timoko. 30/1 Florida Sport (4f Tornado Bello) took third for trainer/driver Miguel X Mestra Suner.   The 7/10 favorite Filou L’Auvergnier was fourth.   Friday’s Quinte+ race was on the Vincennes card and it was the Prix Titania (purse 48,000€, 2850 meters, 14 starters), with victory to the 6.6/1 odds Crescendis (7f Querido de Blay-Libertatis) timed in 1.14.4kr with J-F. Senet at the lines.
