Twisted Stick Lodge proudly presents on behalf of all our clients 31 superb yearlings for the New Zealand Premier Yearling Sales in February 2010, which comprises of 16 fillies and 15 colts by boom sire Christian Cullen, In the Pocket the sire of champions, Falcon Seelster and his son McArdle the sire of Rising Stars.

We take pleasure in extending a personal invitiation to you as all of the yearlings are well worth your inspection or that of a bloodstock agent on your behalf. We will gladly arrange a time to suit.

The results we believe speak for themselves as this draft exhibit intelligence, lovely confirmation, competitive natures and boast pedigree and attitude. These yearlings have been prepared to be racehorses and all are beautifully conditioned having been raised in lovely large pastures and monitored on very well balanced grain diets.

OUR FIRST BORN FOAL FOR THE SEASON

We are so pleased to welcome the safe arrival of our first foal born from our broodmare band this season. Sired by Monkey Bones out of Just A Moment (1/2 sister) to champion trotter TAKE A MOMENT.

DREAM COVER GIRL WINS ON HER AUSTRALIAN DEBUT
DREAM COVER GIRL JENNA'S BEACH BOY - DUNDEE'S DREAM
Dream Cover Girl a daughter of Jenna's Beach Boy out of Dundee's Dream, (a 3/4 sister to Advance Debra the Dam of COURAGE UNDER FIRE) recently sold to Australia wins on debut at Bankstown.

Trained by K J Pizzuto and driven to perfection by R J Alchin takes her stakes earnings to $23,651 from limited outings.

A half sister by In The Pocket (DREAM AFTER DARK) will be offered for sale at the PGG Wrightsons Premier Yearlings Sales in February 2010.

DREAM AFTER DARK will follow in the footsteps of her full brothers in SOME COURAGE ($67,021 for 11 wins MR1.56.9) and LIMITED EDITION ($16,099) to date...

LIMITED EDITION purchased by Nigel McGrath for stable clients from the PGG Wrightson Yearlings Sales in 2008 ran a gallant 3rd in his first race start as a 2yo in the PGG Wrightson NZ Yearling Sales Southern Graduate to SMILING SHARD ($596,373) and MAPUA LEGEND ($57,174). LIMITED EDITION is currently being prepared by trainer Nigel McGrath for his 3yo campaign.

MILLWOOD NEBRASKA wins the $15,000 LIS MARA MOBILE PACE
MILLWOOD NEBRASKA CHRISTIAN CULLEN - LYNNE FALCON
Millwood Nebraska previously named Doreen Falcon a daughter of Christian Cullen out of Lynne Falcon wins the Lis Mara Mobile Pace at Alexandra Park 19th June 2009.

Doreen as we affectionately called her when being prepared for the PGG Wrightson Premier Yearling Sales in 2007 for stable client Ian Dobson of Cullen Breeding Ltd wins her second race in just 9 starts taking her total lifetime earnings to $19,386.

Purchased by Dave & Katie Carville for $90,000 and trained by Mark Purdon & Grant Payne this filly is now on her way to repaying her purchase price.

In readiness for the broodmare band one day she has already made fine blackprint on her pedigree page in just her first win when she paced the mile at Ashburton back in November 2008 in 1.57. We congratulate her connections on her recent winning performance.

ALDEBARAN DREAM wins the 3yo GR1 VICTORIAN OAKS

ALDEBARAN DREAM DREAM VACATION - YANKEE DEIDREE

Aldebaran Dream previously named Deidrees Dream a daughter of Dream Vacation out of Yankee Deidree wins in her third start the GR1 Victorian Oaks on the 12 June 2009 driven by D K Douglas.

Deidree as we affectionately called her when being prepared for the PGG Wrightson Premier Yearling Sales in 2007 for stable client Les Donald of LDA Bloodstock wins her third race in a row taking out a Group 1 title and has stamped her mark on her pedigree page.

Purchased by Chris Lang on behalf of stable client Duncan McPherson for $31,000 this filly has already recouped her purchase price and things can only get better. We wish her connections all the very best of racing luck for the future.

The Met Syndicates are run on behalf of the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club. The Club is an authorised Syndicator under the Code of Practice regulating Standardbred Syndication which is authorised by Harness Racing New Zealand.

Being a member of a Harness Racing Syndicate is cheap and fun way to enjoy the thrill of horse ownership.

You have the opportunity to meet a lot of new people and experience first hand the fantastic sport of Harness Racing.

Each Syndicate generally starts with three horses which are purchased from the Yearling Sales. Each Syndicate has 50 members each of whom pay an up front fee which contributes to the purchase of the horses. A very reasonable monthly instalment is then required to cover training, feeding etc. If your horses perform well, you will benefit from their efforts.

WAI EYRE FARM is pleased to report that they are having one of their best seasons yet. It appears that while some stud farms are down on the number of mares that they have on farm this year, Wai Eyre appears to be bucking the trend by seeing an increase in both the number of mares on farm to foal, and also the number of mares to be bred this season.

Twisted Stick Lodge are proud to be associated with Wai Eyre Farm and with our own broodmare band this year we have had a great season with all the mares safely producing foals, and a 90% strike rate of mares back in foal due to the care and expertise of the team at Wai Eyre Farm.

This site promotes our training services and facilities, markets our yearlings for the upcoming yearling sales, and provides an information service to our owners, and prospective clients.
