Former Heavyweight Champion of the World, George Foreman purchased a potential OSS-eligible son of Albert Albert.
Sold as Hip 377, the unnamed weanling is a son of Albert Albert-Keystone Hilary and a ½ brother to Ontario campaigner Key To Life.
He was purchased for $1500 USD.
Foreman also purchased broodmare Nan Can in Hip 374 for $10,000 USD.
By Super Bowl, Nan Can is the dam of Lodgepole Pine, and a ½ sister to the dam of the world champion Moni Maker.
She is currently in foal to S J’s Photo.
Foreman, nicknamed Big George, ranks among the greatest boxers ever to enter the ring.
In 1973 he defeated Joe Frazier to capture the world heavyweight boxing championship.
The next year he lost the title to Muhammad Ali in an epic bout in Zaire called the "Rumble in the Jungle."
Foreman, who is well known for his vast media visibility and many charitable ventures, told the Blooded Horse Sale’s Jason Settlemoir that he has been exposed to harness racing by watching it on television from his home in Houston, Texas.
The 55-Year-Old father of 10 said that he has always had a liking for the gaited horses and the sport of harness racing, and it helped that his wife allowed him to make his purchases in Delaware.
