Artiscape will stand for a service fee of NZ$8500 plus GST.

It is expected that he will serve a book of 250 mares in New Zealand and Australia, combined.

Artiscape will return to Perretti Farms for the 2006 breeding season, and will shuttle yearly after that.

Bob McArdle of Nevele R Stud relates said “the reports about Artiscape’s progeny here in the Southern Hemisphere are outstanding. We are thrilled that we are able to cement an ongoing relationship between two of the industry’s pre-eminent breeding farms.”

Brittany Farms Stallion Management has used Nevele R Stud exclusively as agent for the sale of frozen semen for all of its stallions.

“The expertise of Nevele R has exceeded all expectations,” Art Zubrod, syndicate manager for Brittany Farms Stallion Management, said.

“The first year we sent them enough Life Sign frozen semen for 25 mares.

They bred 58 with it and got 48 foals. Dr. Boyce of Perretti Farms tells me that Artiscape is a perfect candidate for a shuttle stallion, so we thought it was time to take the plunge.”

Artiscape is the only Breeder’s Crown winner sired by a Breeder’s Crown winner -- and from a Breeder’s Crown winner.

His oldest foals are just five and he has already sired a Horse of the Year, the 2004 champion, Rainbow Blue.

Artiscape has produced champions in each of his crops, and is now destined to leave them in two hemispheres.
