Vivid Photo winner of the $1.5-million, richest Hambletonian Trotting Classic in history on August 6, is the latest.
Owned by Pennsylvania horsemen Todd Schadel and trainer-driver Roger Hammer, Vivid Photo joins 2002 Horse of the Year No Pan Intended and last season's sensation Rainbow Blue on the Winbak Farm Honour Roll of Champions.
Before the biggest crowd to watch a standardbred event in North America in the 21st century, more than 30,000 cheering fans and a CBS TV audience, veteran horseman Roger Hammer guided the Winbak-bred gelding to a world record for age, gait and gender to overpower nine rivals in 1.52.3.
Another Winbak-bred, Self Professed, finished fifth making Winbak, the only farm to have two participants in the Hambletonian Final.
Both trotters shared in the largest trotting purse in history.
In addition to breeding the 2005 Hambletonian winner, 2004 Horse of the Year and 2002 Horse of the Year, Winbak Farm also bred, raised and sold Bettor's Delight, 2002 2-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year and 2003 Three-Year-Old Pacing Colt of the Year.
Many of the top juveniles now racing have close Winbak Farm connections.
Winbak-sired and Winbak-bred pacers and trotters racing on the Grand Circuit and in many of the leading sire stakes programs have been enjoying stakes another season of winning success.
In The First State alone, every starter in four Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund $100,000 finals for both 2 and 3-Year-Old trotters and pacers was sired by pacer Badlands Hanover or trotter CR Commander.
The New York Sire Stakes have showcased Malabar Man and Giant Hit trotting progeny and Village Jove, Magical Mike and Dream Away pacers in winning performances.
Colts and fillies by Rustler Hanover and Island Fantasy have been Ontario Sire Stakes and Gold final and elimination winners.
Blissfull Hall, Winbak's only stallion in Pennsylvania, and JK Outlaw in Maryland are also enjoying successful seasons.
Currently, Winbak Farm is preparing their finest group of yearlings for the upcoming major sales starting next month.
Winbak will sell 36 New York-breds at the Morrisville Sale.
The New Jersey Classic has a roster of 51 head. In Kentucky, Wnbak will sell 59 at the Lexington Selected Sale. There will be 22 yearlings at Forest City and seven in the Canadian Classic this Fall.
In addition to selling an outstanding selection of colt and filly pacers and trotters at the leading yearling venues in the United States and Ontario, Winbak will conduct a Special Yearling Sale of its outstanding Delaware and Maryland yearlings at the state-of-the-art Winbak of Delaware, in scenic Middletown, Del. on Monday, October 10, Columbus Day.
The Winbak Delmar Sale features the complete 44-yearling consignment of exciting pacer Badlands Hanover pacers and standout trotter CR Commando, all eligible for nomination to the lucrative Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) events.
In addition there are seven sharp Maryland-breds by coveted Shotgun Scott.
