INTER DOMINION APPROVAL

Robert Marshall, Chairman of the Inter Dominion Harness Racing Council advised that in a meeting last Monday, 12 December 2005, that the IDHRC approved the submission by the South Australian Harness Racing Club to conduct the 2007 Inter Dominion Championship Series with the first heats commencing on 29 December 2006 at Moonee Valley.

The Series will then continue at Globe Derby Park through to the Grand Final on 13 January 2007.

The Council considered a wide range of issues developed through consultation from our industry, which will be used in framing the logistics of the two State program to be implemented by South Australia and Victoria.

In granting formal approval of the 2007 Series Dates, Format and Venues in South Australia’s preferred time slot, the way is now open for enhanced Sponsorship, Government Major Event and Media Promotion opportunities available to the South Australian Harness Racing Industry in conducting the 2007 Inter Dominion Championship Series for both Pacers and Trotters.
