The fourth race feature is headlined by none other than Flutterbutt, a daughter of Raging Glory, who has been first and second in her three lifetime starts. The bay filly will start from post five for driver Wally Hennessey and two starts back was a game second place finisher in the Early Bird Pacing Series. She is the 5-2 morning line favorite and is trained by Kim Sears and owned by William Varney of Bangor, ME.
The 7-2 second choice in the race is Lucy Lucy, who starts for driver Jay Sears from the second tier in post ten. Sired by Tough Sir, Lucy Lucy was second by only a neck in her last start in the final of the Early Bird Pacing Series. She was bred and is owned by Jay and Kim Chiaramonte Sears of Deerfield Beach.
Other contenders in the race include the entry of Leavembehind (post eight) and Miss Top Flight (post nine) from the Melvyn Aylor Stable and Cracker Gab (post two).
The colts do battle Saturday in the opening round of the $26,000 Gator Pacing Series. Featured will be Scoot For Glory, who won the Early Bird Pacing Series in 1:58.1.
Also on Saturday there will be a free fireworks show after the last race on the program plus free drawings to win raffle tickets for a one-of-a-kind Marlins Baseball Team Chopper motorcycle worth $60,000 that will be on display. It will also be a Family Fun Night with free miniature horse rides, free face painting and a free caricature artist.
