Any twilight meeting on a Friday will also have races carded as ‘final field' wagering if the race is scheduled to start after 6:00pm, any race prior to that time which is a three-win plus race will also be included.

Saturday New Zealand harness meetings raced day or night will feature ‘final field' wagering on all races.  Any ‘Premier' raceday no matter which day of the week it is held will have all races taken with ‘final field' wagering available as a betting option

Any other day that is not covered above will have all three win and higher programmed races carded as ‘final field' wagering events (two win races at Alexandra Park and Addington Raceway will also be included).

The harness ‘book' will also use their discretion to cover any two win race on a programme if deemed as a suitable event that should feature ‘final field' wagering as a betting option, eg Nelson Cup.

Two win and above races will open on raceday at approximately 8:30am (group & listed races may open earlier). Maiden and one win races will open approximately 20 minutes prior to the start time of each race. All races on a ‘Premier' programme will open for wagering at approximately 8:30am (group and listed races may open earlier).

Some harness races will come under the above criteria but will not be covered as ‘final field' wagering if the race stakemoney is lower than what is raced for on average at that racing venue eg Tuesday low stake meetings. The new criteria is to be operated on a three month trial basis and will be reviewed following this period.
