Starting at the prohibitive quote of $1.20, the daughter of Armbro Operative settled down three back in the running line from her second line draw. Driver Brian Gath eased his grip on the reins in the back straight, surging Golden Showgirl three-wide to swoop on the leading division approaching the home turn.

She was untroubled to stave off the fast finishing Pans Girl over the latter stages.

Trained by Eddie Mahar, Golden Showgirl averaged a 2:00 mile rate for the 1690 metres mobile trip, with the last 800 in 59.2 seconds.

Much improved Falcons Flame extended her winning streak to four in the fast-class event. Driver Neil ‘Pecker' McCallum slotted the Union Guy mare in behind the leader and she unwound her trademark finishing burst along the sprint lane to win by 1.4 metres.

The last 800 was covered in 57.4.

Trained by Larry Eastman, Falcons Flame has won six out of 14 since coming to Victoria last May.

A clever drive by Ballarat horseman David Murphy paved the way for Misseinstein's emphatic win in the C1 event.

Starting off the back row, the grey settled in the second half of the field before Murphy made his winning move, circling the field three-wide at the 1200 metre mark. He was never again headed, scoring by a conservative 12 metres.

Kilmore - November 13

The Alan and Amy Tubbs ‘show', starring Miracle Mile contender Melpark Major, moved to Kilmore on Thursday night where the duo notched another winning double.

The Bacchus Marsh father-and-daughter team book-ended the program with Monte Carlo Lombo ($1.70 fav.), prepared by Amy, and Wya Mya Macray ($2.30), trained by Alan.

Both were ultra-impressive.

Having only his second start, Monte Carlo Lombo sat parked throughout before overwhelming the pacesetting Jackpot Banker in 1:58.8 in the opening event.

Wya Mya Macray, a four-year-old Pacific Fella mare, posted her fourth win for the term, leading most of the way in the VSB&SA Pace for C2-4 class.

She tramped her last 800 metres in 57.3 and looked to have something in reserve.

Our Malabar, a member of the Lance Justice barn, recorded the fastest time of the night - 1:57.5 - in the C5-6 event. Despite racing wide throughout, the Live Or Die gelding packed too many guns for his rivals, winning by almost two metres from Spider Nelson and favourite Second Mortgage.

The five-year-old was driven by Justice stable employee, Jason Hackett.

Charlton - November 14

Armbro Operative's winners were Twirling and Man In Disguise, while Pacific Fella's representatives were Barriettas Joy and Pacific Raider who both led throughout.

Geelong - November 14

Former Kiwi four-year-old Husty Hoffa completed a winning hat trick when he outgunned his rivals in restricted company at Geelong.

Forced to sit parked throughout, the Aces N Sevens gelding dug deep into his reserves of stamina to down Party Sounds, who made all the running, and the favourite Laser Edge.

Starting second elect at $2.70, Husty Hoffa was driven by Freddy Taiba for his brother, Ahmed. The gelding had won at Geelong and Moonee Valley at his previous two starts.

Rory, a Presidential Ball gelding, made it two wins in the space of a week when he led throughout in C2-3 class.

The five-year-old, who won at Ballarat on November 7, peeled off his last three sectionals in 29.9, 28l4 and 29.7 to put paid to his rivals.

The $1.90 favourite was well handled by his trainer David Murphy.

Tasca, a son of the former top NZ racemare Ciccio Star, ended a long drought from the winner's circle in capturing the C0 event.

Drive by Nigel Milne, the $7.50 chance worked to the front in the middle stages and was untroubled another ex-Kiwi, Magical Maxine, in 2:01.4.

The five-year-old In The Pocket entire is prepared by Dale Hogan.
