On Sunday, November 23 the Midwesterners will duke it out at Balmoral Park and the following day the Eastern Region members will scuffle at Harrah's Chester Downs.
Noticeably absent from each of the regional finals will be Steve "You're Never Too" Oldford, the points champion in the Midwest, and Todd "the Downeaster" Whitney, the points champ in the eastern region. And as the points leaders in their respective divisions they automatically draw byes in the regional finals and go directly to the Delvin Miller Memorial Driving Gold Cup Championship which will be contested at the Meadowlands on Saturday, December 6.
However, Oldford advances to the Gold Cup Final with another title earned this season that being the overall points champion.
With the fields set for the finals and consolation finals in both regions the drivers competing line-up as follows in post position order in each of the four events.
On Sunday at Balmoral Park the Billings Midwest Championship Final is in the third race on the 11-race card.
Drivers competing in that event include: Dale "the Big Boss" Zahn; "Tiny Tim" Miller; Bob "the Lumberman" Troyer; "Tar Heel Tom" Williams; "Buckboard Bob" Miller; "Howie the Horse" Gelfand; "Trader Bud" Hatfield; Congenial Gene" Miller; "Lawbook Larry" Farley and "Marvelous Marvin" Raber.
The following is the field of drivers in the Billings Midwest Consolation Final which will go as race two at Balmoral Park on November 23.
"Jolly Roger" Bartley; Dean "What Am I Bid" Beachy; "Racin' Jason" Sgrignuoli; Gregg "Fast Greggy" Keidel; "Michelle the Belle" Ruvola; Kelly "Sky" Walker; Dein "the Jupiter Gem" Spriggs; Patricia "the Write Stuff" Miller; and David "Linemaster" Ehrenberg.
On Monday, November 24 at Harrah's Chester Downs the Billings Eastern Region Championship Final and Consolation Final will both be contested at distances of one and one-quarter miles.
In the Championship Final (race seven) the drivers competing line-up as follows: Rob "Rapid Rail" Krivelin; George "the Brooklyn Cowboy" Casale; "Dynamite Dave" Drew; Peter "the President" Gerry; Scott "the Driving Doctor" Woogen; Terry "the Dairy Queen" Donnelly; Dave "Yes It's True" Offenberg; Steve "Cannonball" Markoff; Eric "Cowboy" Taddeo; and Tony "the Capo" Verruso.
This is the field of drivers racing in the East Region Consolation Final:
Bob "the Headhunter" Hechkoff; David "Steady As' Yarock; Vladimir "Butch" Melnichenko; "Fast Philippe" Trudeau; Gerry "the Catskill Cat" Fielding; Simeon "Hot Rod" Hunsdon; "Joltin' Joe" Pennacchio; "Hot-Handed Harry" Pozefsky and "Little Harry" Landy.
According to where each driver finishes in their respective regions final and consolation final they will earn berths in either the Delvin Miller Memorial Gold Cup, Silver Cup or Bronze Cup Championships, all of which will be contested at the Meadowlands on December 6.
