After starting from post position four DiBenedetto sent her to the lead and then yielded command to Muscle Schoals and Zeke Parker at the quarter wich was trotted in :29:3. From there DiBenedetto sat on Parker's back as Muscle Shoals allowed Better Than Most (Greg Merton) to have the front-end after the half.

With Better Than Most showing the way to the third panel DiBenedetto moved Danijill out to challenge but at the top of the stretch they were still three lengths behind Merton's charge. Then as they headed for home Danijill rallied and charged home a one length winner over Better Than Most. Muscle Shoals took home the show dough.

In lat October at the local USHWA Banquet, Danijill was named 3 year old trotter of the year after having a season where the David Dziengiel-trained filly earned over $75,0000 with much of that total in New York Sire States action.

But since the NYSS wars ended in mid-September Danijill returned home to the Mighty M and has been just short of spectacular with three wins and two seconds in her last five starts. With her victory on Monday the filly now has seven wins, five seconds and two thirds in 20 trips to post for owner Fred Rappa of East Elmhurst, NY.
