The wind was blowing and the rain was caking up on the drivers faces, like they were sandmen.
The nine race card went off without a hitch and for Jim Hardy it was well worth the mud pack he received after each and every race and also the chinese food that was made available by the race track to all the owners, trainers, drivers and grooms that were in the paddock. It made for a great time even with the lousy weather.
His first win came in the fourth race driving Dream One Up for trainer Paul Vacca and owner/partner Rosalie Vacca of Norton, MA in a time of 1:59.1 and paid $7.20, his second winner came in the fifth race about Cool Operator trained by Paul McHugh and owned by Dean Malin of Gilbertville, MA in a time of 1:57.4 and paid $6.00 and his final win came in the ninth and final race aboard Gb`s Li`l Misfit for trainer Brenda Provost and owner/partner Susan Dowgiala of Rumford, RI in a time of 1:56.4 and paid $7.00
Along with his three wins that gives him a total of over 130 wins at the meet and a forty win lead over his runnerup competitor Mike Eaton, he also is the leading trainer with a seven win lead over second place Dawn Anderson with only two racing dates left.
The two racing dates left for this year are Friday, November 27, and Saturday, November 28 with both post times 1:00 p.m.
The Plainridge Racecourse would like to extend their best wishes to all and may you all have a very happy Thanksgiving Day.
