Dunn had Bettor Move It in the lead at the bell in the $30,000 Young Gun Heat for 2yo Fillies, and from that the Canterbury filly simply ran her opposition off their feet. She paid $2.50 to win.

"She has a real presence about her," Dunn said of the bay filly his boss Cran Dalgety trains at West Melton. "In her on little way she reminds me a bit like Smiling Shard. She drives hard like him," Dunn said.

Wow that's some comment considering Smiling Shard has won 10 of his 20 starts and placed in nine others for $755,808. Two of those wins included the Sires Stakes and Harness Jewels Finals - both Group One races for the 2yo colts and geldings.

The 2yo colts and geldings also competed tonight in the $10,000 Auckland Cup Week Juvenile Pace. They also paced over the 1700m mobile but Mighty Flying Thomas's winning time was a whopping 2.1 seconds slower than Bettor Move It's 2:04.7.

"I've noticed in just the last two months how much potential she does have. She is the most forward 2yo filly in Cran's barn by far. She's got a bit of attitude, I'm quite excited about her," Dunn said.

It was a two-horse war up the straight but Bettor Move It at no stage looked like being headed by another Bettor's Delight filly in Bettors Abs (Hayden Cullen). At the winning post the South Island visitor had three-quarters of a length to spare, with a further six lengths back to outsider Miami Terror (James Stormont).

Bettor Move It's winning mile rate was 1:58 with final 800m and 400m surges of 58.5 and 28.2 seconds.

"I had a bit in reserve even though she was getting tired at the end of it - but I thought she always had them covered. I was rapt because she did a bit of work to get into the race to get to the lead and when she had to she kicked again," Dunn said.

The filly can only get better with racing and is going to be a force to be reckoned with in the north in the next month or so. So just how good is she?

"I've only got a couple of years to call on but she would be close to being the best filly I have driven. She has a nice feel about her. Perhaps only Rona Lorraine who be superior to her at this stage. But this is only start number one. Time will tell," Dunn said.

For the record Rona Lorraine has won three of her 15 starts including the 2008 $150,000 Group One Caduceus Club 2yo Fillies Classic. Her bank balance stands at $129,763.
