Nanticoke Racing's Bristy Crinkley, handled by Jim Morand comes in after winning a qualifying race. King Gus leaves from post 9 in the second tier for Matt Ivory and driver Vic Kirby while Nick Angarano, Bill Brostek and Shawn Ross' Samuel Coe drew the rail with Ross Wolfenden.
The sharp David Kelly-leased Janco just missed after leading from quarter for Kim Vincent. Dave Nelson gets a first start with Gurf, claimed last week, with Corey Callahan in the bike. Driver Roger Plante's Iron Will seems to get better each start. The other starters are Frank Miller's Stargazer Lily piloted by Jon Roberts and Bill Collier's Wild Man Bill handled by Vince Copeland.
Joe Skowyra's Sonabor (Brad Hanners) just missed by a nose last time and leads eight to post in a Delaware $15,000 3,4&5-Year-Old Mares pace. Joanna Allen (George Dennis) broke stride last week and should make amends for ASK W Stables and George & Tina Dennis. Joanne Matthews' Halima Hanover (Corey Callahan), and Kerry King's One Special Lady (Tony Morgan) are overdue.
The other starters are driver Bryan Truitt's Ayla Hanover, Jessica Beach's Sentinelle Hanover (Keith Banks), Pat Booke's Emma Three (Vince Copeland) and Four Starz Cam Bam, owned by Gloria Keefe and driver Sam Belote.
The Delaware-registered 4&5-Year-Old Mares preliminary makes a two-race debut. In the first $12,500 division led by Christopher Sharpe's Cosmo Madness (Jim Morand) and A Kut Above (Vince Copeland) while C'est Si Bon (Ross Wolfenden), Teika Rose (Roger Plante) and Debbie Rende's Junes Tune (Tony Morgan) head the second $12,500 set. The second of two prelims goes next Saturday with the top eight point getters making the $40,000-added final.
A pair of $14,500 events, one for trotters and the other for male pacers, are also on the strong card.
Saturday and Sunday post time is 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday racing begins at 4:30 p.m. No live racing on Friday. There is no charge for admission or parking at Dover Downs. Reservations are suggested for the Winner's Circle Restaurant. Call 302-674-4600
