The New Zealand harness racing yearling sales are all over for another year after the third and final day of the Sale Of The Stars took place today (Thursday February 21) at Canterbury Agricultural Park.

The horseflesh on offer at today's second-day of the Premier Sale was of a lower quality and the prices reflected that.

Never the less there were some handy enough types pass through the ring, the best of them judging on price a Art Official colt out of Divine (Christian Cullen- Soky's Sunday) who is the granddaughter of 2001-2002 Broodmare Excellence Award winner Tabella Beth.

The Art Official colt named Easy Rider notched up $38,000 for his owners/preparers Ken & Anne-Marie Spicer, and was sold to the bid of Australia's Tony McGrath.

Others who fetched reasonable prices include lot 303 London Light, a Mister Big filly from the family of New Zealand Cup winning mare Armalight. ($30,000) Lot 202 a son of French Stallion Sam Bourbon and Kazzle Dazzle, (25,000) and lot 220 a Panspacificflight colt out of Madam Maroussia ($25,000).

The latter capped off a big week of purchasing for Mosgiel's Graeme Anderson and Wendy Muldrew, who aren't generally big spenders at the yearling sales.

Their other Premier Yearling Sales purchases included Mainland Banner's, Art Major half-brother Titan Banner ($80,000).
