Dover, DE - High winds and dark winter weather ushered in four harness racing divisions of juvenile trotters Tuesday contesting their second leg of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund series at Dover Downs, which will head into the $100K finals next Tuesday, November 24th.

First non-wagering race was fillies won by Whitesville Beulah (Anders Bluestone-Whitesville Tara) in 2:01.2, in a new lifetime record and making her two wins in a row. She is owned,trained, and bred by Gary White of Delmar, MD and driven by David Hill. Toni Lee was placed second and Kim’s Command was third.

Second non-wagering race was all Big Al M, the Harrington final winner (Anders Bluestone-Bringing Up Lindy) in putting his win streak at four in a time of 1:59.3 for owner and breeder Bobby Myers. Trained by Eric Davis and driven by his father, Eddie Davis, Jr. Second was Malachi’s Test followed by Roll Juan for show.

First half of the daily double was the second division of colts and geldings. It was all Rhett (Keystone Activator-Lake Serena) in wire to wire fashion for driver, Tony Morgan in 1:59. Rhett is trained and co-owned by 90 year old Donnie Wiest and is co-owned by his son David. Donnie is also the breeder. Altar Call was the place followed by Blue Devil for show.

The final race for fillies was a dash to the first turn four deep and at the wire it was first time Dover leg winner, Designer’s Edge (He’s Spooky-Designate) in 2:02.2, a new lifetime mark with driver Billy Long. She is owned and trained by Harry Marsh, Jr. and was bred by Virginia Louthan. Amy Wil was second and Jazzy Judy was third.


The top 8 point earners for each gender qualified for the finals. In order of points the colts are:Big Al M, Rhett, Altar Call, Blue Devil, Malachi’s Test, Roll Juan,Bluestone Jackson, and Someofmygoodtime. For the fillies: Whitesville Beulah, Jazzy Judy, Designer’s Edge, Kim’s Command, Toni Lee, Amy Wil, Reality, and Annalee.
