High Stakes Banker trotted home for his third straight win Wednesday (May 15) in Northfield Park's opening race.

The five-year old is owned by Larry Dampier of Akron, Ohio. Trainer John Williams has called upon David Majeski to pilot the gelding for all three of his consecutive trio of victories.

High Stakes Banker started from post-five and sat fourth through an opening fraction of 29.1. Majeski pulled the trotter and he remained first-over through middle fractions of 58.4 and 1:28.3. High Stakes Banker took the lead approaching the wire and stopped the clock in 1:59.4. He finished a neck in front of his closest competitor, Wyatt (Frank Harris).

Wednesday’s triumph increased High Stakes Baker’s (Here Comes Herbie-Banker’s Princess-Malabar Man) lifetime wins tally to nine and his career earnings to $68,868. He returned $7.40 to win.
