DOVER, Del.--- Master Clave won his second $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) Three-Year-Old Male Trot prelim while Jiggs recorded his first during 2nd leg harness racing action at Dover Downs on Monday, April 3.

Unlike last week when Master Clave made an untimely break just before the starting gate opened and quickly Ross Wolfenden got him back trotting before catching the field and quickly taking the lead on the way to winning his first $20,000 DSBF prelim, this time it was easier with the same result. Wolfenden took the early lead and was never troubled on the way to a 1:58.4 triumph. Ben Brooks bred and owns the Master Lavec-Dilly Dally Della gelding, now seven for 10 lifetime and a winner of $116,750 in purses. Master Kingpin (Art Stafford Jr.) came on to finish second. Dusty Fool (Carlo Poliseno) was third.

Rodney Mitchell's Jiggs overtook favorite Moonshine Lavec (Sean Bier) in the stretch to win the second $20,000 DSBF prelim, a reverse of last week's finish. Vic Kirby drove Jiggs from off the pace to register a 2:00 victory for the Leigh Raymer trained altered son of Giant Hit-Mystic Hill. I was the first win of the year for the $62,400 career winner.
