More entrants confirmed for the Elitloppet

Elitloppet GM Tore Fryand has announced that another four invitations were issued and he now has a total of five acceptances and two pending:

Accepted: Sebastian K (SWE), Nesta Effe (IT), Shaq Is Back (SWE), Timoko (FR) and Mack Grace SM (IT)

Pending: Maharajah (SWE), Brad de Veluwe (FI)

Reportedly, trainer Stefan Hultman has not decided on Maharajah while Brad de Veluwe trainer Toumas Korvenoja wants to evaluate his horse after a second place finish in the Finlandia Ajo.

After winning today’second race at Hyeres (Criterium des 4ans du Sud-Est) with Vormensito (4g Quatre Juillet), veteran Jean Pierre Dubois came right back in race seven to win the Criterium des 3and du Sud-Est with Antoine (3m Love You-Quintina-Goetmals Wood) defeating stablemate Amos (3m Kaisy Dream-No Limit Jet-Defi d’Aunou). Antoine won the 2650 meter (autostart), 22,000 euro contest in 1.18.2kr. Jean Baudron trains both horses; Jean Pierre Dubois owns both.

Aged campaigners played on the Hyeres card too. Ouch (SWE) won the 2650 meter (autostart) Prix Leopold Ritondale for Christophe Martens. The favorite scored in this 22,000 euro test in 1.15.2kr. Menhammer Stuteri Ab bred the six year-old gelded son of Viking Kronos-Hot Enough-Malabar Man.

Martens returned to win the 32,000 euro Prix President Verignon (2750 meters) in 1.17.6kr with Ultradidact F (SWE). Also off as the favorite, Ultradidact F is a seven year old gelding by Viking Kronos-Ultra Broline-Giant Chill.
