Top harness racing reinsman Gavin Lang is booked to keep his drive on Tallulah Bay and the two-year-old filly appears primed to maintain an unbeaten record when contesting Saturday night's The Lombo Final (1690m) at Shepparton in Victoria.

Tallulah Bay, a winner at each of two starts, was driven by trainer Sebastian Steenhuis in a front running Kilmore victory by 13.5 metres at her race debut over 1690 metres on 13th December.

Lang took on the filly's reins when she again set the pace and won by a neck in a 1690-metre heat of The Lombo series at Shepparton on 8th January.

"The margin was only narrow," Steenhuis said. "However, Gavin Lang told us he was satisfied with the win. He's impressed by her acceleration.

"I've been only a hobby trainer during 10 years in harness racing. Tallulah Bay's emergence is very exciting for our family.

"My son Zac liked Tallulah Bay at a sale and bought her after she was passed-in.

"Saturday night's performance will help us decide whether to spell the Metropolitan filly immediately, or give her one more race in this campaign."
