It was a patient drive by Ross Wolfenden aboard Tight Lines as they were able to maneuver through the wind, rain and snow, and won by a well measured length at Dover Downs on Tuesday.

There was plenty of movement in the race, despite the poor weather conditions.

Home N Dry and driver Tyler Davis, left quickly and forced Cruising In Style and driver Corey Callahan to settle for the pocket.

Home N Dry cut fractions of :27.3, :57.1 and 1:25.3.  Bluebird Jesse and Tim Tetrick were parked the mile as the 8/5 second choice in the wagering and tired.  Faithfulandtrue pulled at the ½ and pressured Home N Dry through a  28.2. 3rd quarter.

Nearing the ¾  marker,Jack Parker Jr came off the rail and trotted three wide in the turn.

Tight Lines, who was fifth most of the mile, tipped 4 wide.  Both trotters dueled down the lane.

Tight Lines proved to be the best and won by a measured length in 1:55.1 as the 7/5 race favorite.

Tight Lines is owned by Gregory,Jesmeral Stable and WH Richardson. The trotter was driven by Ross Wolfenden for trainer Jeff Gregory.

This is now the 6th lifetime victory in the slop for the 7 year old son of Yankee Glide.

Royal Becca J finished 2nd for driver Jack Parker Jr. and trainer Carol Jamieson- Parker.

Home’N Dry  finished 3rd for driver Tyler Davis and trainer Brian Malone.

Wiggle It Jiggleit is scheduled to race in the 12 race Open/Preferred Pace on Thursday night January 9.
