Harness racing driver Tyler Borth celebrated his first driving victory on Friday at The Raceway at The Western Fair District when he guided Region Hall to a narrow victory in the evening's third race.

It was just the 13th career drive for the 19-year-old who is the son of veteran Ontario horseman Bill Borth.

The younger Borth sent Region Hall straight to the front from post seven in Friday night’s contest. After setting all the fractions, he dug in gamely in the stretch to hold off a determined Escalade for the nose decision in 2:05.1.

The next live program at The Raceway is this Monday at 4:05 p.m. It will feature an increased guarantee in the pick-4 wager to $5,000. For free program downloads, visit
