Two $20,000 divisions of 3-year old pacing colts and geldings contested the first leg of the Dover series.
In the first half of the daily double American Nitro(Badlands Nitro-Jet America) was a nose in front to earn a new lifetime record of 1:53.3 for driver Victory Kirby and trainer Les Givens. The gelding is owned by Henry Faragalli,III,Arthur Feeney, Daniel Doane, and Nanticoke Racing, Inc. The $4000 yearling now has earned $170,230 lifetime. He was bred by Winbak Farm. Second was Elite Retreat followed in third by Leonard’s Legacy.
The second division was won by All About Lynx (Southwind Lynx-All About Tonight) in a new lifetime record of 1:52.4 for driver, Montrell Teague and trainer, Clyde Francis. The gelding is owned and bred by George Teague, Jr.,Inc. and K & R Racing,LLC. Harrington final winner, Apple Valley Art was second and Aidan was third.
