Philippe Allaire trains this Jacques Pauc owned winner, one Pauc also bred. 9/1 Capraio (6g Coktail Jet-Une de Bussy) was second for trainer/driver Franck Ouvrie. 27/1 Zahara Goj (5f Sahara Dynamite-Melinda Sigel) took third for J-M Bazire. The day’s Quinte+ was the Prix du Croise-Laroche (purse €70,000, 2850 meters distance handicap. 17 starters) and this 1.14.2kr timed victory went to 3/2 favorite Babylone Seven (7f Oiseau de Feux-Nyala) with J-M Bazire the breeder/trainer/driver.  10/1 Bacchus d’Elva (7g Quaro) was next for trainer/driver Franck Ouvrie and third went to 7/2 Bon Jenilou (7g Love You) driven by trainer Bernard Piton. Bon Grain Tivoli and Boheme du Juille completed the top five. Trainer Anders Lindqvist sent out his and Peter Gerry’s Angel Dark with US based Andrew McCarthy aboard – they finished 11th. Yesterday at Vincennes legendary driver Jean-Michel Bazire was awarded the 2017 dash winning title in France. He booked 231 victories to best Franck Nivard and Eric Raffin and to record his 19th dash winning title, his first at age 27. The racetrack executed a superb salute to Bazire’s accomplishment and he did not disappoint by entering the huge crowd for autographs and selfies. December 23, 2017 - A fine holiday harness racing program began today with the Gr. II Prix Une de Mai (purse €120,000, 2175 meters, nine starters) and 18/1 Folelli (2f Timoko-Andrea d’Ecajeul) scored for Alexandre Abrivard driving for breeder/owner/trainer Frederic Prat. Race time was 1.13.7kr. 7.6/1 Fendi la Bise (2f Prince Gede-Una Prima Speed) for trainer/driver Franck Anne and Ecurie AB Trot, the breeder/owner.  5.9/1 Full Option (2f Fast Photo-Stance Van Troje) was third for Eric Raffin, trainer Philippe Allaire and breeder/owner Kevin Tebirent. The top three here look to be fine fillies for the future. The Gr. II Prix Jules Lemonnier (purse €120,000, 2175 meters, 13 starters) was won by the 1.11.7kr timed and 37/1 Athena de Vandel (7f Prince Gede-Maelia de Vandel) scored for Alexandre Abrivard, trained Cedrik Megessier and breeder/owner Ecurie La Tour de Vandel. 15/1 Valse de Reve (8f Mister President-Nouba Houba) was next for Guillaume Martin and owner/trainer Alain Roussel. Unbridled Charm recorded his 16th career win in 64 starts for €454,170 earned. 10/1 Unero Montaval (9g Nem)  and J-M Bazire and 7.2/1 Violine Mourotaise (8f Le Retour) with David Thomain up were second and third. 39/1 Valse Mika and 34/1 Vouchka were the next pair to the line. October 4, 2017 - Uza Josselyn (6f Love You-Teza Josselyn) rallied outside at 7.1/1 to win the harness racing Quinte+ Gr. III Grand Prix Anjou Maine (purse €100,000, 3125 meters distance handicap, 17 starters) timed in 1.14.7kr. Alexandre Abrivard piloted the Swedish owned mare (Ecurie Rhythm & Blues) that is trained by Rene Aebischer. 3/2 favorite and 25 meter handicapped Valko Jenilat (8m Kepler-Perle du Roc) was a solid second on the inside for driver Eric Raffin, and trainer Sebastien Guarato. 2/1 second choice and 25 meter penalized Bird Parker was third for J.Ph. Monclin, trainer Philippe Allaire and owner Elisabeth Allaire. 13/1 Apollon de Kacy and 31/1 Bahia Quesnot were the next two to the line. Thomas H. Hicks  

July 13, 2017 - Alexandre Abrivard teamed 8.6/1 Azaro d’Eva (7m Lynx de Bellouet-Iomolly) to victory in Thursday’s Quinte+ at Enghien, the Prix de l’Opera (purse €58,000, 2150 meters autostart, 16 starters). This J-M Bazire owned and trained performer was clocked in 1.14kr. 6.1/1 Venicio Pommereux (8g Love You-Noune du Pommereux) was second, driven by Franck Nivard, for trainer Sylvain Roger and breeder/owner Noel Lolic. Third was 86/1 Un Satin Rose (9g Ganymede-Dentelle Rose) for driver Franck Ouvrie. Mind Your Face and Paparazzi completed the top five and the exact order payoff exceeded €45,000 for a two euro wager. Thomas H. Hicks

Victory was earned by 2.7/1 Bari (6m Ganymede-Magicienne), racing barefoot for Alexandre Abrivard. L.Cl. Abrivard trains this winner for Marquise de Moratalla. 3.3/1 Balando (6m Nijinski Blue-Quitalia) rallied to gain the second spot for Dominik Locqueneux and breeder/owner/trainer Alphonse Vamberghen. 24.7/1 Ventura Jiel (8f Neoh Jiel-Oceane Jiel) held third for Matthieu Abrivard, trainer J.L. Dersoir and Ecurie Luck. On the card was also the Prix Cephens (purse €50,000, 2850 meters, 18 starters) with victory to 1.13.5kr timed and 1.6/1 odds favorite Bob (6m Overtrick-Fee du Houx) reined by Eric Raffin for owner/trainer Mlle. Abrivard trains this one for Ecurie Augustin Normand. 1.8/1 Darlhey du Rib (4f Ganymede-Quille Castelets) was second for J.L.Cl. Dersoir, respected monte trainer Joel Hallais and owner Ecurie Rib. 18/1 Dona Maza (4f Jag de Bellouet-Rczyana) was third in a photo for Damien Bonne, trainer Sebastian Ernault and Ecurie de Maza. After battling the now age-retired Scarlet Turgot, the superb harness racing six year-olds Bellissima France (6f Blue Dream-Quanta Rosa Sun) and Bilibili (6m Niky-Quetty du Donjon) battled to line in the Gr. II Prix du Calvados (purse €150,000, 2850 meters) at Vincennes. Both were away toward the end early with Bilibili outside of Bellissima, before Bilibil and Alexandre Abrivard (trainer L.Cl. Abrivard, owner Jean Pierre Barjon) zoomed to the front around the final bend and jetted off to what looked like an insurmountable lead. Bellissima France (driver Matthieu Abrivard, also trainer, owner LD-M Abrivard) escaped her position locked on the pylons and worked toward the top pack, then darted toward the inside and drove past Bilibili on the line. She was clocked in 1.13.6kr off rated fractions (1.14.5kr at the 1500 to go mark; 1.14.1kr with 1000 remaining; 1.13.9kr at the 500) and raised her career earnings to €643,330. Bilibili now has earned €590,800.  Bellissima France was off at 1.3/1 and Bilibili at 2.6/1. 8/1 Attentionally (7f Jasmin de Flore-Intentionally) was third for David Thomain and owner/trainer Paul Viel Bellissima France The undercard’s Prix Scarlet Turgot (Crack Series Six Year Olds) went to the 1.14.3kr timed Carabinieri (6m Wellino Boko-Dew Princess) reined by Johan Untersteiner for AB Ybena of SWE and trainer Peter Untersteiner, at 2.6/1 odds. King Sir Kir (6m Make It Happen-Kings Blondie) landed third at 5.3/1 for J-M Bazire and Sweden’s Ecurie I.C. Equine AB. Italy’s Super Fez (6m Love You-Lucia FI) was fourth for Gabriel Gelormini ahead of Bel Auteur (6m Password-Possession) with Jean Philippe Dubois up. The Bigeon family stable shined toward program end. Costa Haufor (5f Saphir d’Haufor-Santa Haufor) took the Prix de Talence (purse €39,000, 2850 meters) at 7.4/1 for Charles Julien Bigeon at the lines for trainer/owner Christian Bigeon. I Prix de Vincennes (monte, purse €240,000, 2700 meters, 13 starters) was the co-headliner on this powerful Christmas Day Paris-Vincennes harness racing program. 3/1 Dragon du Fresne rallied decisively to win for Alexandre Abrivard and trainer L.Cl. Abrivard timed in 1.15.4kr (fractions 1.14.9kr at 1500 to go; 1.15.2kr at the 1000 mark; 1.15.4kr with 500 remaining). 1.4/1 favorite Dollar Macker (3m Saxo de Vandel-Salt Lake City) was second for Yoann Lebourgeois. Philippe Allaire trains Dollar Macker for Olivier Henri Thomas. Third went to 5.8/1 Dahlia du Rib (3m Oyonnax-Paasiflore du Rib) with J.L.Cl. Dersoir in the irons for trainer Joel Hallais and breeder/owner Ecurie Rib, both legendary monte developers. 7/1 Celina Polka (4f Kool du Caux-La Canella) secured today’s Gr. Sunday’s program include five groupe contests headed by the €150,000 purse Grand National du Trot Finale. Swedishman, Val Royale and Ultimate du Rib are in the Gr. IIi event over 2150 meters autostart for a total purse of €70,000 and 16 European trotters contested.   Off at 5.4/1 the winner defeated 10.1/1 Cash Gamble (5m Ready Cash-No Way Bork) with Franck Nivard aboard for trainer Vitale Ciotola and Scuderia Stecca SRL.  The winner was clocked in 1.12.3kr off soft fractions (1.12.9kr with 500 meters to go and 1.13.5kr after 1000). 9/2 As Dore (6m Coktail Jet-Dragee d’Or) was third for Dominik Locqueneux, trainer Robert Bergh and owner Mme.
