Three groupe level events graced the Tuesday Paris-Vincennes program and produced exciting harness racing action.   The Prix Camilla (Gr. III, purse 70,000€, 13 European starters) began the groupe tests and 4.1/1 Filou l’Auvergnier (4m Real de Lou-Quira l’Auvergnier) scored in 1.12.8kr for reinsman Kevin Leblanc, trainer Franck Leblanc and owner Ecurie du Grand Buisson.   It was the seventh career victory for Filou in 16 starts and his life earnings increased to 164,410€. 15/1 Lover Boy (4m Conway Hall-Merlot DK) was second for Alexandre Abrivard and 9/1 Inspector Bros (4g Pastor Stephen) took third for pilot Franck Nivard. The 5/10 favorite Crossfire (6g Prince de Charme-Katiana) scored for Yoann Lebourgeois and trainer Stephanie Lepetit timed in 1.13.1kr. Armand Turguet-Lepreux owns the 10 time career winner of 126,150€ and today’s impressive score was his eighth straight in 2018. 2.2/1 Cyrano du Port and 41/1 Crazy Look watched the winner perform from a distance. The Quinte+ event this day was named the Grand Prix du Portugal (purse 50,000€, 2100 meters, 17 starters). April 27, 2018 - The Friday harness racing action at Paris-Vincennes began with a 4/1 victory by Etoile de Houelle (4f Goetmals Wood-Sawasde de Houelle) in the Prix Maginus (purse €80,000, 2700 meters, 15 starters) and riven this day by Franck Nivard for trainer Franck Leblanc. 2.3/1 Everest Vedaquais (4g Ready Cash-Spandelle) held second for driver Yoann Lebourgeois and owner/trainer Philippe Allaire. 13/1 Eureka du Fosse (4f Soleil du Fosse) with Anthony Barrier the pilot, took third among a group at the line together. Race time was 1.14.3kr for this three-time career winner. November 30, 2017 - 2.4/1 Veloce de Banney (8g Quaro-Jiva du Banney) won Thursday’s Paris-Vincennes featured Prix Paul Buquet (monte, Gr. II, purse €120,000, 2850 meters) timed in 1.13.5kr. Franck Nivard was the jockey for trainer Franck Leblanc and Ecurie du Grevol Buisson. 1.8/1 favoritre Alpha Saltor (7m Paris Haufor-Glory d’Ariane) was second for Matthieu Abrivard and trainer David Bethouart. Third went to 4.1/1 Julio de Luxe (8g Juliano Star-Nigritilla Nigra) that Bjorn Goop trains and Alexandre Abrivard piloted this day. 33/1 Urai Voyou and 19/1 Athena de Vandel took the next two spots at the finish. The program also showcased three year olds in the Prix Urgent (Gr. July 9, 2017 - Veteran classmaster Up And Quick (9m Buvetier d’Aunou-Fichtre) survived a speed duel early before taking the lead after 400 meters for driver Franck Nivard, and the race was over. This Prix de la Communaute de Comaunes (Gr. II, 1609 meters autostart, purse €100,000) was a rare on-mile dash for speed and Up And Quick did not disappoint with his 1.10.2kr victory, the mile rate 1:52.89. Franck Leblanc trains the winner for Ecurie Quick Star and the victory today took the winners’ career earnings to €2,042,040 with 15 wins including a Prix d’Amerique. Billie de Montfort (6f Jasmin de Flore-Quismy de Montfort), at 3.8/1, rallied nicely to be second for driver David Thomain, trainer Sebastien Guraato and owner/breeder Philippe Dauphin, and the aforementioned early leader, 20/1 Breidabliks Nubbe (5m Lindy Lane-Wildgirl Boshoeve) held third for driver Marc Elias and trainer Conrad Lugauer. April 29, 2017 - Veteran and former Prix d’Amerique winner Up And Quick (9m Buvetier d’Aunou-Fichtre) gained an impressive gate to wire harness racing victory in today’s Gr. II first speed leg of the FR summer, this one named the Criterium de Vitesse de Base Normandie and raced at Argentan. Franck Nivard teamed the Franck Leblanc trainee that is owned and was bred by Ecurie Quick Star. The winner recorded his 14th win in 58 starts for €1,988,540 earned. Today’s event carried a purse of €100,000 and was raced over 1609 meters autostart, clockwise direction. The 5.5/1 barefoot winner bested 2.8/1 and pocket placed Billie de Montfort (6f Jasmin de Flore-Quismy de Montfort) reined by David Thomain for Sebastien Guarato, trainer for owner/breeder Philippe Dauphin. Third was the 1.6/1 favorite Bird Parker (6m Ready Cash-Belisha) driven by J.Ph. Monclin for trainer Philippe Allaire and owner Elisabeth Allaire. The winner recorded his tenth victory in 22 starts now for earnings of €516,410. 6.1/1 Celina Polks (5f Kool du Caux-La Canella) was second for Alexandre Abrivard and owner/trainer Joel Van Eeckhaute. Third went to 6.2/1 Cyprien de Bordes (5m Ouragon de Celland-Perle des Bordes) for jockey J.L.Cl Dersoir. Legendary Joel Hallais trains this one for Ecurie Rib. This winner stalked the slow pace from a loose death seat position until surging to the front late in the final bend. Canadian d’Am then coasted to a open lengths lead and held off his pursuers to the line.    

January 29, 2017 - Today’s 2017 Prix d’Amerique program was a great display of top fight harness racing and festivities for the enthusiastic crowd. Canadien d’Em (5m Ready Cash-Kanadia) started today’s racing action with victory in the Gr. II Prix Harley Davidson/Camille Blaiset (monte, purse €120,000, 2850 meters, 10 starters). Mathieu Mottier teamed the Franck Leblanc trainee for Laurent Edin. The 1.14.1kr timed winner bested Cypien des Bordes in rein to J,.L.Cl. Dersoir for the legend Joel Hallais and Ecurie Rib. The Prix du Buis (monte, two year-olds, purse €13,000, 2200 meters, 14 fillies) went to 2.6/1 odds quick-stepping (time 1.15.8kr) Effrontee (2f Scipion du Goutier-Queasy Way) with Adrien Lamy in the irons for trainer Franck Leblanc and owner Jacques Seror. The two year olds monte colts battled in the Prix des Noyers (purse €13,000, 2200 meters, 10 starters) and the 1.17.8kr winner was 1.4/1 Etna Dairpet (2g Rombaldi-Regate de Celland) with Matthieu Abrivard up. J.L. Dersoir is the trainer for Ecurie Luck.  Three year-olds contested the Prix des Ormes B (purse €22,000, 2850 meters, 16 starters) with the 1.18.4kr timed winner being 1.4/1 Divine Action (3f Ready Cash-Serious Action) with Jean-Philippe Dubois, also breeder, at the lines for trainer Philippe Moulin and Ecurie Victoria Dreams.
