This year’s edition of the classic Baka Handicap (purse 1,100,000Huf, distance 4200 meters distance handicap) at Kincsem Park in Budapest, Hungary went to the 2.1/1 pocket sitting Olmo Jet (11g Legendary Lover K-Sienna-Summit Hill) reined by Sandor Varga to the 1.25.3kr victory. The Gabor Reischl trainee owned by Aquadrom Kft recorded his third win in six 2019 starts. The 15.9/1 outsider and 60-meter handicapped Lingo AT (7m What A Man) took second for Balazs Juhasz with 9.7/1 and 40-meter penalized Ultimate Ugri (6m Vanito) finishing third for Goran Zolnaji. On the undercard 1.1/1 favorite Zeal di Girifalco (4m Igor Font-Inviata d’Itlaia) returned to his winning ways taking the Oroshazer Vanos Dija (purse 600,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart). He was clocked in 1.15.7kr in this his eight 2019 victory in 10 starts. Veljko Mazsity trains and teamed the winner. 8.2/1 Ubo Kiraly (6m Vioxx SR) was second for Lajos Marton and third was 6.3/1 Rocky HR (7m Roc du Montfort) reined by Balazs Juhasz. The next big Kincsem Park event is the December 31 edition of Szilveszter, a racing, awards, entertainment, food and beverage extravaganza that honors the Trots, the 2019 horse racing leaders at Kincsem Park. The interesting Kincsem Park Saturday program saw Zeal du Girifalco (4m Igor Font-Inviata d’Italia-Varenne) win the featured Uzer DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) clocked in 1.16.9kr. The winner extended his 2019 win streak to seven in as many starts and he is now 14 wins in 18 starts in Hungary. Veljko Mazsity teamed the winner that was off as the 1.2/1 favorite. The 19/1 Milady Amok (6f Scarlet Knight-Balett Amok-Defi d’Aunou) was second with Csaba Lakatos the pilot. 47/1 Unique Vil (6m Conway Hall-Deborah Bi-Park Avenue Joe) was third. Earlier on the card was the Luca DIJ (purse 400,000HUf, 2400 meters autostart) and 2/1 Iago d’Amore (5g Mago d’Amore-Indyran-Uronometro) scored for trainer/driver Imre Fazekas, his 1600th career driving victory. Fazekas has 14 wins in 66 starts in 2019. Race time was 1.17.3kr for this wire to wire performance. Iago was bred in Szerbia by Branislav Mukity who also drove second finishing 14/1 Zaneboro (4m Frullino Jet-Corolla Jet-Park Avenue Joe). Third was the 5/2 second choice Zolta (4m Naglo-Gazza Jet-Supergill) with Veljko Mazsity aboard. Zeal di Girifalco (4m Igor Font-Inviata d’Italia-Varenne) won Saturday’s featured Super Hanover DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 1960 meters distance handicap) at Kincsem Park, covering the course timed in 1.17.3kr, with Sandor Varga aboard. Veljko Mazsity trains the winner that is unbeaten in six 2019 starts and has earned 14 wins in 16 career starts in HU. This day he bested Disney HR (6f Light Up de Vonnas-Times-SJs Photo) reined by Andrea Fazekas and third went to Zapato (4m Frullino Jet-Diatomea PL-Friendly Face) handled by Tibor Hajnal. Earlier this day the emerging two year olds were on display. In a qualifier Brilians BD (2f Brillantissime-Ici Love-Love You) scored for Imre Fazekas timed in 1.26.1kr over 1800 meters. September 16, 2017 - Gyorgy Horvath piloted his (co-owner) Sultana Jet (6f Igor Font-Art Deco-Diamond Way) to another harness racing victory Saturday (her fourth straight win and seventh in ten 2017 outings) in the featured Uli DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 2400 meters autostart) at Kincsem Park. The winning team defeated Ordog Hegeduse (9g Medic Hanover-Dallar-Magnus) with Ferenc Nagi II up and third was Szacharin (6f Vanito-Inzulin-Valley Guardian) for trainer/driver Istvan Papp. Race time was 1.19.1kr over the extended distance and the winner (#6) is pictured. The undercard showed the Istis Jerez DIJ (purse 400,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) and the 1.17.6kr timed winner was Unika Vik (4f Cantab Hall-Nashville OM-Uronometro) for Balazs Juhasz. August 26, 2017 - Sultana Jet (6f Igor Font-Art Deco-Diamond Way) took today’s 600,000Huf purse Diamond River DIJ at Kincsem Park, raced over 1900 meters autostart, by the weekly open class trotters. Co-owner Gyorgy Horvath teamed the winner for co-owner Pimri and trainer Imre Fazekas. She returned after a two month layoff to record her sixth 2017 victory in nine starts, plus twice second. Race time was 1.17.8kr for the comfortable winning Sultana Jet. Samuel Becket AT (6m Diablo Va Bene-Simb Lorrikeet-Pearsall Hanover) was second for Andor Angyal. Next weekend is the Food Truck Show Festival (September 1-3) and the USA-HU Amateur Drivers Challenge with raced Friday evening and Saturday. June 4, 2017 - Gyorgy Horvath piloted his co-owned, with Pimri Bt., Sultana Jet (6f Igor Font-Art Deco-Diamond Way) to a 1.17.6kr victory in Sunday’s featured Ivisa Sun DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) at Kincsem Park. Imre Fazekas trains the winner. Using stalking tactics with the usual front-ending mare (shown below), driver Horvath made a powerful move with 500 meters remaining,  surged to the front off the final bend, and then pulled away to a two length victory over  the fast closing Henrik Ibsen AT (5m Worship-Her Own Child-Imposant Sund) in rein to trainer Tibor Hajnal. Szacharin (6f Vanito-Inzulin-Valley Guardian) was third for trainer/driver Istvan Papp. Horvath produced a co-owner, with Pimri Bt, double as 16/1 Vilagszere (3f Beissinger Hanover-Lovely Beauty-Valley Guardian) scored in the Nyeretlenek II (purse 360,000Huf,1900 meters autostart) for trainer/driver Imre Fazekas, timed in 1.23.1kr. Also on the undercard was the Utas DIJ (purse 360,000Huf, 1800 meters) and victory was earned in that event by Ivan Pavlov AT (4m Tony Oaks-Impromtu Hall) timed in 1.18.2kr and driven by trainer Tibor Hajnal. March 11, 2017 - Sultana Jet (6f Igor Font-Art Deco-Diamond Way) pictured, won again Saturday at Kincsem Park as the 1.3/1 odds favorite. Harness racing co-owner Gyorgy Horvath teamed the 1.18.5kr timed mare that overcame a 20 meter handicap in the Henriett Varga Memorial Handicap (purse 600,000Huf, distance 1960 meters handicap). Is the co-owner and Imre Fazekas trains the four time winner in five starts since import, the other time second. 15.8/1 Insa (5f Alesi OM-Iess-Scurry Lobell) was second for trainer/driver Imre Fazekas and 7.9/1 Samuel Becket AT (5m Diablo Va Bene-Simb Lorrikeep-Pearsall Hanover) was home third for trainer/driver Tibor Hajnal. February 25, 2017 - The even-money favorite Sultana Jet (6f Igor Font-Art Deco-Diamond Way) held bravely for a length victory in Saturday’s harness racing featured Wind Scot DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) at Kincsem Park. Co-owner Gyorgy Horvath was again the pilot for trainer Imre Fazekas and Pimri Bt., the other co-owner. The quick stepping mare (shown below) has won two straight in as many 2017 appearances and has a 4-1-0 slate in five starts since import. Toniatti Giacometti SS SAgricola bred this mare. 6.8/1 Bimbo de Chenu (5f Scipion du Goutier-Ovive de Chenu-Casino des Sports) was second for Tibor Hajnal, also trainer. 9.5/1 Nacho Nico (10g Belami-Icecandy Star-Endless Sands) was third for Emese Vezer. Race time was 1.17.1kr. The undercard included the 400,000Huf Buvesz DIJ (distance 1900 meters autostart) and 1.4/1 Tiara Boss (5f Wall Street Banker-Peace Force Pro-Kosar) scored in 1.19kr for Zoltan Ozvar, also trainer, and owner Arizona doo of Serbia. She scored for the second time in five 2017 starts. The Cedrus DIJ (purse 360,000Huf, 1960 meters voltstart) went to 7.1/1 Bonjour Evo (4f Donato Hanover-Real Live Woman-Angus Hall) timed in 1.22.5kr for trainer/driver Sandor Varga and owner Antioch Arani SRO (CZE). This win was her first since import for Finland. The Nyakas Handicap (purse 360,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) went to 1.18.6kr timed and 2.1/1 Passion Grif (8g Varenne-Sex Appeal OK-Lanson) with trainer Laszlo Kolozsi at the lines. Finally, the Nyeretlenek Versenye (purse 360,000, 1900 meters autostart) went to 5.4/1 Villeneuve (3m Pilgrims Taj-Brisco Emma-Brisco Robertto) for driver Zoltan Gyolai (amateur), owner Gyolai Racing, and trainer Laszlo Kolozsi. January 21, 2017 - The 2017 Kincsem Park trotting season began Saturday on a chilly day at Budapest with the harness racing feature being the Evnyito DIJ raced over 1800 meters autostart for a 600,000Huf purse. Recent import and 1.1/1 favorite Sultana Jet scored easily in 1.19.1kr for driver and co-owner Gyorgy Horvath. Imre Fazekas trains the fine six year-old daughter of Igor Font-Art Deco-Diamond Way that Pimri Bi co-owns. Sultana Jet was imported from Germany and was bred by Toniatti Giacometti SS Agricola. 15.8/1 Kozsakert (7f Wall Street Banker-Viragos-Surefire Lobell) was second for driver Andras Gaspar and third was 5.2/1 Ruby Reeves (7g Wall Street Banker-Jade-Valley Guardian) handled by Balazs Juhasz. On the undercard was a victory in the Hidalgo DIJ (purse 360,000Huf, 1980 meters distance handicap) in 1.20.3kr by 3/1 Timoko RL (4m Doctor Sugar RL-Triestina-Golden Goal). Overcoming a 40 meter handicap the recent import from Serbia was driven by trainer Imre Fazekas for owner Arizona d.o.o.. The lightly raced colt was bred by Stable Sport Line of Belgrad, Serbia. The Akos Handicap (purse 360,000Huf, 1800 meters autostart) went to the  1.21.1kr timed, 3.7/1 odds, veteran mare Mountain Bambi (10f Victor Victor-Give Me Five-Lindy’s Crown) that was reined by Emese Vezer for trainer Emil Csordas.
