The Atlantic Sires Stakes two-year-old pacing fillies put on a good show at Northside Downs on Thursday (August 4) evening. Sweetwater Teaha captured the first of two "A" division harness racing events with driver Brodie MacPhee holding the lines in a time of 2:00.2 for owner Raymond Deagle of Inverness, NS.

At just 26 Marc Campbell has proven himself to be one of the best horsemen in the Canadian Maritimes. He's already claimed driving titles at the Charlottetown and Summerside racetracks, but more importantly the Prince Edward Island native has earned the respect of his harness racing peers.

Jeff Lilley is no harness racing star but he's been a tireless worker of standardbreds for more than three decades. It's horsemen like him that are the backbone of the Canadian harness racing industry. He's served the equine breed since the day he left school. Quite simply he lives, eats and breathes the sport.
