Today’s GP Je Beteou (10th leg of the Trophee Vert series, purse 40,000€, 3100 meters distance handicap) at Royan-la Palmyre in France saw Duel du Gers (7g Quaker Jet-La Chasse Verte) scored for trainer/driver Matthieu Abrivard and owner J.M. Rancoule timed in a quick 1.15.5kr on the harness racing grass course. This was the winner’s 14th career victory and increased his career earnings to 308,210€. The 25 meter handicapped Clark Sotho (8g Oiseau de Feux) was second for Guillaume Martin ahead of two more 25 meter penalized performers, Cap du Normont (8m Isleto de Bellouet) and Blues des Landiers (9g Phlegyas). She scored for the third time lifetime in 31 outings and was a decisive winner over 9/1 Extra Light (4f Village Mystic) that Gabriele Gelormini teamed for trainer Stephane Meunier. II, purse 120,000 euro, 2700 meters, 13 starters – three year old males) and the 3/5 favorite Fabulous Wood (3m Ready Cash-Qualita Bourbon) won again with Matthieu Abrivard driving. Yves Boireau trains the 1.15.7kr timed winner for Scuderia Winner Stable. Jean Pierre Dubois bred Fabulous Wood that now has six wins in eight career starts for 106,750 euro earned. The 33/1 outsider Falcao de Laurma (3m Uniclove-Rangoon) was second with Anthony Barrier up for trainer Thierry Duvaldestin. Third was 9/1 Fric du Chene (3m Nobody du Chene) took third with Gabriele Gelormini driving. Fleche Bourbon (3f Saxo de Vandel-Uzara Josselyn-Goetmals Wood) continued her excellent performance with victory in the Prix Guy Deloison (Gr. Franck Gaillard trains the winner for owner F.J.Miachaud. 8.5/1 Comete Darche (5f Ready Cash-Java Darche) was second handled by Yoann Lebourgeois for trainer Junior Guelpa. 16.7/1 Cocotte Jolie (5f Gogo-Milady de Roche) was the third finisher teamed by Eric Raffin. September 11, 2017 - Mathieu Abrivard teamed 1.9/1 favorite Dragon du Fresne (4m Sdaphir Castelets-Rosee des Bois) to an easy victory in Monday’s Paris-Vincennes featured Prix Cenari Forcinal (Gr. II monte, purse €120,000, 2175 meters, eight starters). Timed in 1.13.8kr the winner drew away in the final turn for a easy victory, his eighth in 30 starts now for €569,710 earned. L.Cl. January 22, 2017 - 3.2/1 second choice Bellissima France (6f Blue Dream-Quanta Rosa Sun) tracked the pace before making a strong move in the lane to wear down 18.8/1 Tornade du Digeon (10f Jag de Bellouet-Herlane du Terme) to win the harness racing Gr. I Monte Prix de Cornulier (purse €700,000, 2700 meters, 16 starters) at Vincennes. Owner/trainer/jockey Matthieu Abrivard piloted Bellissima France to a 1.13kr victory, well off the 1.12kr record set by Quif de Villeneuve. Tornade du Digeon raced gamely for Eric Raffin, trainer J-M Bazire and owner J-Y Roze. 1.7/1 Bilibili (6m Niky-Quetty du Donjan) was third for Alexandre Abrivard, trainer L.Cl. After battling the now age-retired Scarlet Turgot, the superb harness racing six year-olds Bellissima France (6f Blue Dream-Quanta Rosa Sun) and Bilibili (6m Niky-Quetty du Donjon) battled to line in the Gr. II Prix du Calvados (purse €150,000, 2850 meters) at Vincennes. Both were away toward the end early with Bilibili outside of Bellissima, before Bilibil and Alexandre Abrivard (trainer L.Cl. Abrivard, owner Jean Pierre Barjon) zoomed to the front around the final bend and jetted off to what looked like an insurmountable lead. Bellissima France (driver Matthieu Abrivard, also trainer, owner LD-M Abrivard) escaped her position locked on the pylons and worked toward the top pack, then darted toward the inside and drove past Bilibili on the line. She was clocked in 1.13.6kr off rated fractions (1.14.5kr at the 1500 to go mark; 1.14.1kr with 1000 remaining; 1.13.9kr at the 500) and raised her career earnings to €643,330. Italy’s Super Fez (6m Love You-Lucia FI) was fourth for Gabriel Gelormini ahead of Bel Auteur (6m Password-Possession) with Jean Philippe Dubois up. The Bigeon family stable shined toward program end. Costa Haufor (5f Saphir d’Haufor-Santa Haufor) took the Prix de Talence (purse €39,000, 2850 meters) at 7.4/1 for Charles Julien Bigeon at the lines for trainer/owner Christian Bigeon. Cybele des Peria (5f Quaker Jet-Miss du Boisnant) took second for Franck Nivard ahead of Comete cdes Vaux (5f Singalo-Queen Marie Vaux) and Yoann Lebourgeois. A race later Ch. J and trainer Christian returned another winner in the Prix Salon de Provence (purse €58,000, 2100 meters autostart) with Aufor de Mire (7g Notre Haufor-Hilda Dix) clocked in 1.13.1kr. A.F.
