Members of the Ohio Standardbred Development Fund Committee voted unanimously to set the purses for all eight Ohio Sires Stakes championships at $100,000. Ohio Sires Stakes are restricted to horses bred within the state. The races are scheduled on Saturday (Sept. 8) at Scioto Downs in Columbus. They will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Harness racing sustaining payments for the 67th Little Brown Jug and the 42nd Jugette are due February 15. These payments are for foals of 2009.

The two-year-old gelding trotter, Count Me In equaled the track record in winning the $20,822 Ohio Breeders Championship in Tuesday harness racing action at the Delaware County Fairgrounds.
