The longtime exemplary trotting sire in France, and throughout Europe, has died this morning of a heart attack.
Jean Philippe Dubois bred, managed and campaigned Prodigious that won 644,130€ taking a record of 1.11.1kr. He won the 2007Gr. I Criterium Continental and was second in the Gr. II Prix Ovide Moulinet and Gr. II Prix Octave d’Ouesnel. As a sire he was among the best, on the stage with Ready Cash and Booster Winner. He produced 986 foals with 71% qualified winning 52,499,391€, an average of 77,661€ per qualifier. He produced in France two winners of over 1 million euro and seven more that earned over 500,000€. These included Carat Williams (1,207,805€) and Earl Simon (1,028,685€). He also sired Vision Intense (884,300€) and Virgious du Maze (804,095€).
