Saturday’s harness racing trotting action at Kincsem Park in Budapest featured the Imike DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 1960 meters distance handicap, nine starters).  The 4.1/1 second choice Sanger MS (9g Victory Scream-Samba MS-Armbro Goal) scored on the front end for trainer/driver Goran Zolnaji timed in 1.21.6kr, his second straight victory. The 1.7/1 favorite and 20 meter handicapped Victory Knick (7g Cantab Hall-Lappenic Knick-Lindy’s Crown) was a fast closing second for Istvan Papp, ahead of 10.3/1 Oldtimer Diamant (9g Arc de Triomphe-Primadonnas Lady-Titan Way) reined by Andor Angyal.  The undercard featured the Betolakodo DIJ (purse 400,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) went to the 1.2/1 favorite Rocky HR (7m Roc de Montfort-Times-SJs Photo) teamed with trainer Balazs Juhasz, timed in 1.19.7kr, for his 13th win in 41 HU starts. The 31.9/1longshot Kings Call (5g Sjs Photo-Marina Eme-Adams Hall) was second for Istvan Papp and third went to 15.9/1 Betty Evo (6f Orlando Vici) with Laszlo Kolozsi aboard. The same day trotting action was at Aby (SWE) as their V75 races took place. The featured V75 Gold Gr. II International (400,000SEK to the winner, 2140 meters) was won by the 3.4/1 Sorbet (8m Super Photo Kosmos-Altar Bound-Supergill) handled by Orjan Kihlstrom for trainer Daniel Reden. Sorbet won for the 12th time in 44 starts timed today in 1.13.7kr. 12.1/1 Nimbus CD (9g Mythical Lindy-Kiss Of Life-Tenor de Baune) took second for trainer/driver Robert Bergh. Third went to 25.1/1 Timone EK (7m Mr. Vic-Gemona-Lemon Dra) reined by Thomas Uhrberg for trainer Jerry Riordan. The 2.1/1 favorite Zenit Brick was sixth. March 20, 2017 - Saturday (March 18) a superb harness racing card was in display at Kincsem Park led by the Brody Janos Memorial (purse 1,500,000Huf, 1960 meters distance handicap). The 1.20.3kr winner over a heavy racecourse was 1.7/1 Sanger Ms (7g Victory Scream-Samba Ms-Armbro Goal), pictured, reined by Mitja Slavic for trainer Balazs Juhasz. Sanger Ms has now won three straight and five of his last six outings. 4.1/1 Breve des Baux (f Querido des Baiux-Milady des Baux-Classic Rodney) was second for Joze Sagaj and trainer Aron Denes. 10.9/1 Bimbo de Chenu (5f Scipion du Goutier-Ouive de Chanu-Casino des Sports) landed third for trainer/driver Tibor Hajnal. On the same program was the Kopparzy DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) with the 1.21.6kr timed victory earned by 3.1/1 Titan Ville (5g Noir Desir- 0Izaville-Endless Sands) reined by trainer Imre Fazekas for owner Zsalek Zsolt. Trencsen (5m Ata Star L-Eperjes-Witsends Speedy) took second for Zsolt Vereb and trainer Laszlo Toth. Third was Nemzelesur with Robert Varhidi driving. Fazekas was back with a training and driving victory in the Csapodar DIJ (purse 400,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) with 3.8/1 Timoko RL (4m Doctor Sugar RL-Triestina-Golden Goal). Arizona d.o.o of Szerbia owns this winner, timed in 1.23.7kr over the off-track. 7.9/1 Tiara Boss (5f Wall Street Banker-Peace Force Pro-Kosar) was second for Zoltan Ozvar, trainer/driver. 43.8/1 odds Kelvin AT (4m Even Better Odds-Keystone Bluejay-Sierra Kosmos) was third for trainer/driver Tibor Hajnal and owner Animal Trade Racing of Szerbia. Other interesting winners on the card were Vital RG (3m SJ’s Photo-Vitesse OR) for trainer/driver Tibor Hajnal. This colt won the Ocean DIJ (purse 360,000Huf, 1800 meters). The Detektor Handicap (purse 360,000Huf, 1980 meters) went to 2.2/1 Passion  Grif (8g Varenne-Sex Appeal OK) for trainer/driver Laszlo Kolozsi timed in 1.22.9kr. Fourbtr Kft and Sandor Hora own the winner that bested Rosamundi and Oklahoma Font. Also, on March 18, was trotting action at Momarken SWE led by the V75 Gold (150,000SEK to the winner, 1640 meters autostart). The 1.6/1 odds Mosaique Face (8m Classic Photo-Iona LB) scored in 1.11.7kr for driver Adrian Kolgjini and trainer Lutfi Kolgjini. The Tommy Nilsson Holding AB product, now with 16 wins in 71 career outings for 13,640,178SEK earned, defeated 7.3/1 BBS Sugarlight (8g Super Light-Sugarsweet Sid-Sugarcane Hanover) reined by Vidar Hop for trainer Fredrik Solberg. Third was 5.2/1 Aruno di Quattro (9m Broadway Hall-Ijssel-Speedy Soma) reined by trainer Frode Hamre. On March 19 there was solid action a Wolvega. The Bronze Winter Championship (purse €10,000, 2600 meters autostart, 14 starters) went to the 1/2odds favorite Clovis de Nappes (5g Prince Gede-Oklahoma Jet) for driver Rick Ebbinge and owner K.T.E. Lavigne. The 1.17.7kr timed winner bested 20.5/1 Bad Boy de Chenu with Ruud Pools driving. The Gold Winter Championship (purse €12,500, 2600 meters autostart, nine starters) went to the 1.15.4kr timed and 9/10 odds favorite Too Much Blue (10g Insert Gede-Naama Blue) reined by Cees Kamminga. This Draviet Stabkes owned performer defeated 76/1 Shamfalla driven by Stefan Schoonhoven. On March 20 at Caen was the Prix d’Anguerny (purse €21,000, 2200 meters autostart, 16 starters) and 1.9/1 favorite Boca Ecus (6f Insert Gede-Salsa Jet) scored in 1.12.5kr for trainer/breeder/owner/driver Markku Vartiainen. The winner recorded her ninth victory in 21 starts for €81,690 earned. 22/1 Bogota d’Herfraie (6f Rieussec-Ines d’Herfraie) was second. Wednesday March 22 at Solvalla has Nuncio at the start as his comeback path continues toward the 2017 Elitloppet. This day he competes in the Kentucky Fibbers raced over 1640 meters autostart for a purse of 169,000SEK. Coldtown, Volstead and French Laundry also are in this field. Thomas H. Hicks    

Sanger MS (6g Victory Scream-Samba MS-Armbro Goal) continued his winning ways Saturday at Kincsem Park in the harness racing featured Gral-Lovag DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart). Laszlo Koszegi-Kovacs teamed the Imre Fazekas trainee to a 1.16.k8kr victory, his third in eight 2016 appearances to go along with four placings. The winner now has 13 career wins in 26 starts. Henrik Ibsen AT (4m Worship-Her Own Child-Imposant Sund) was second for driver Dora Kovacs and trainer Tibor Hajnal. Third went to the consistent Oldtimer Diamant (6g Arc de Triomphe-Primadonnas Lindy-Titan Way) for driver Emese Vezer and trainer Emil Csordas. Three and four year-old females battled in the Utelvanyozo DIJ, an 1800 meter autostart test for a 600,000Huf purse. Tengelic (4f Incredible Cole-Malhana Serey-Malhana Sascha) recorded the 1.19.7kr win for amateur driver Sandor Hegedus and trainer Istvan Torok. Uzsorasno (3f Maximus Lindy-Hitelezo-Witsends Speedy) was home second with trainer Balazs Juhasz driving. Undercover (3f What A Man-Gesa-Rendfonok) took third for Istvan Papp and trainer Jozsef Rutkai. Older trotters competed earlier in the Nemecsek Handicap (1800 meters, 360,000Huf purse) with victory to the 1.18.6kr timed Orinoco (8f PS Dimo-Uxor-Witsends Speedy). December 19, 2015 - Today’s Quinte+ (jackpot €4.5 million) Prix Michel Thoury (purse €80,000, 2100 meters autostart, 18 European starters) went to even-money favorite Your Highness (6f Chocolatier-La Belle Lady) timed in 1.11.7kr and handled by Franck Nivard. Fabrice Souloy trains this winner for PV Racing Stable HB. 4.9/1 Unice de Guez (7f Capriccio-Eau Blanche) was a close second for trainer/driver J-M Bazire and Ecurie Vautors. 35.7/1 Sahara Fairytale (6f Viking Kronos-Sahara Shadow) was a distant third for Christophe Martens, trainer Vincent Martens and Manocapo AB. 21.9/1 Trou Normand (8g Bon Conseil-Jilanska) ended fourth for Eric Raffin with fifth to 50.2/1 Vea du Vivier (6f Jeanbat du Vivier-Kea du Vivier) and Franck Ouvrie. The Prix Jules Leppentier (Gr. The Souloy trained 1.9/1 odds favorite Specialess (4m Ganymede-Enna Dra) was second driven by Roberto Andreghetti for Ecurie Nevi. Third went to 11.5/1 Apprenti Sorcier (5m Love You-Queen of Viking) driven by owner Pierre Levesque and trained by Thomas Levesque. Saturday at Kincsem Park their featured Feiser Emlekverseny (purse 600,000Huf, 2400 meters autostart) went to the fast Sanger MS (5g Victory Scream-Samba MS) driven by  part-owner Laszlo Koszegi-Kovacs, along with Pimri Bt, and trained by Imre Fazekas. Timed in 1.18.7kr the 1.6/1 favorite defeated 4.3/1 Alliance de l’Iton handled by Dejan Katanic with 4.3/1 Oldtimer Diamant finishing third for Emese Vezer.  Thomas H. Hicks

November 28, 2015 - Veteran Lali Kiraly (10m Baltic Bet-Sandti-Buckfinder) won today’s Kincsem Park featured Betolakodo DIJ (purse 600,000Huf, 1900 meters autostart) timed in 1.19.6kr over a rain soaked course and driven by Viktoria Nemeth for trainer Lajios Marton and owner AMMA Kft. The 6.4/1 odds winner defeated 5/2 favorite Rocket Boy (5g Wall Street Banker-Elegant Lady-Mill H) reined by Imre Fazekas and 3.2/1 Orangyl (7f Wall Street Banker-Derengo-Endless Sands) and teamster Csaba Lakatos. The Molnar DIJ (purse 400,000Huf purse, 1900 meters autostart) for upper class contestants went to the 1.17.9kr timed, 1.2/1 odds winner Sanger MS (5g Victory Scream-Samba MS-Armbro Goal) driven by trainer Imre Fazekas for Pimri BY and Laszlo Kiovacs. 4.3/1 No Limit Angel (5f Going Kronos-No Limit Dream-Andover Hall) was second for trainer/driver Zoran Saric, ahead of 3.7/1 Prudy (6f Stallone Jet-Listione-Sebastian Bob) for driver Vito Sadl and trainer Tibor Hajnal. The winner now sports nine wins for 12 starts in 2015 for seasonal earnings of 2,020,000Huf. The Kincsem Park card also contained the Spring Home Handicap (purse 360,000Huf, 1800 meters) with the victory earned by 4/1 Passion Grif (6f Varenne-Sex Appeal OK-Lanson) driven by Vereb Zsolt for trainer Goran Zolnaji. This Czech Republic invader defeated 5.3/1 Kazein (11m Tripszin-Zsenge-Endless Sands) driven by Viktoria Nemeth and 10.7/1 Manchetta (by Bay Minic) reined by Ferenc Nagy II, also trainer.
